INDIVIDUALITY VERSUS CONFORMITY?..... Which side are you on?Maya Dance Theatre (Singapore) and QL2 (Australia) presents 'STANDING IN LINE IN ORDER OF HEIGHT' , a dance production which explores the journeys of individuals seen through the eyes of urban society.
“How universal is desire for conformity and individuality? How can you be an individual in a society that encourages conformity? Can you express your individuality by choosing to conform? Are both just façades?
Developed through a collaboration between Western contemporary dance, Asian classical and contemporary forms, Standing In Line In Order Of Height uses contrasting styles to address the subject and create an artistically strong and engaging performance. The production is choreographed by Juraimy Abu Bakar & Kavitha Krishnan from Singapore, Liz Lea from UK & Ruth Osborne from Australia. Artistic direction led by Kavitha Krishnan & Ruth Osborne.
STANDING IN LINE IN ORDER OF HEIGHT, will make its Asian debut in Singapore at the Esplanade Theatre Studio from 17-19 June 2010 at 8pm and 3pm (19 June 2010).

Good News for all local schools! STANDING IN LINE IN ORDER OF HEIGHT has recently been endorsed by National Arts Council-Arts Education Programmes (NAC-AEP) and school are eligible to utilize the 60% TOTE Board Grant to purchase tickets for the production.
